Customer Requirements

This kitchen was designed to make a bold statement while seamlessly blending style with functionality. By incorporating a mix of luxurious finishes and striking design elements, I created a space that is both visually impressive and highly practical.

To achieve a natural flow, I defined distinct areas for cooking, dining, and relaxing, ensuring they were separate yet harmoniously connected to the adjacent TV/lounge area. The drinks station and breakfast bar, positioned at the entrance, provide a welcoming spot for guests to gather without stepping directly into the main cooking zone. The lower-height booth seating, situated in front of the bi-fold doors, offers a perfect place to unwind while enjoying panoramic views of the patio.

The curved island became a focal point, adding both elegance and functionality, with ample preparation, storage, and cooking space. To enhance sociability and comfort, I incorporated a booth-style seating area, seamlessly attached to the island. A lower-height table was specified with an integrated power supply, allowing the installation of a Kaelo wine cooler at its centre—combining convenience with luxury.

For the cooking setup, I specified a statement island layout, featuring a combination of induction, two teppanyaki grills, and a wok induction hob, giving the client exceptional flexibility. Additional dual single ovens and two warming drawers ensure high-capacity cooking with a variety of functions. Given the expansive island size, Corian worktops were chosen to achieve a flawless, joint-free surface.

One of the key design challenges was a 700mm recess in the wall, a remnant of the original kitchen layout. To optimise this space and maintain a cohesive design, I transformed it into a sleek drinks display area with glass shelving and bronze mirror backing, creating an illusion of depth while tying in beautifully with the splashback behind the sink. The materials palette includes matte walnut veneer and porcelain-painted oak cabinetry, complemented by toughened glass surfaces and mirrored splashbacks. This contrast of textures and finishes delivers the sophisticated, layered aesthetic the client envisioned.

The result is a high-end, multifunctional kitchen that balances bold design with thoughtful planning, creating a space that is not only a showpiece but also a joy to use.

Contemporary, clean finishes but with the wow factor
Large feature island
Comfortable dining for 8-10 people
Spacious TV and sofa area to relax

Customer Feedback

“Having wanted a new kitchen for 3 years, I had plenty of time to do my homework on finding the right company.
We knew the look we wanted to achieve, so I met with 3 different kitchen companies, several times! All 3 produced designs and gave their time to us, but Four Seasons stood out as the best for several reasons.

Their professionalism, the rapid response from all members of the team, the flexibility to accommodate all of our needs, the attention to detail and finishing touches with the design and the non-pushy manner they all applied were all reasons that I wanted to use them.

We had an extension built that would house the new kitchen, so Four Seasons had to work with the builders, plumbers, electricians, and as plans and measurements slightly changed, as did my mind on several occasions, nothing was ever a problem for Donna and the Team!

Not that I want to do building work again anytime soon, but if I did, I wouldn’t hesitate to use Four Seasons again.

Everyone who comes to our house is blown away by our kitchen, it really is beautiful, functional and individual!”
