A CALMING CLASSIC KITCHEN
Creating a calming classic kitchen in this stunning period property.
A GRAND ROOM DESERVES A GRAND KITCHEN.

Customer Requirements
Such a grand room deserves a grand kitchen to compliment it. The old kitchen was starting to look a little tired and out-dated, and ready for a change.
When we began exploring design options for the space it became clear that the current layout, with the peninsular, divided the kitchen and dining space into two and created a lot of unused floor space.
For this reason, we moved away from the peninsular idea and towards incorporating the dining seating onto a central island. This brought the much-needed preparation worktop space into the centre of the room.
Now the clients use this daily for cooking and baking as a family. The island also means that the peninsular is no longer blocking the light from (and access to) the stunning large windows in the room, making the area more spacious and airier.
The style of the kitchen was important as it needed to work with the extremely tall ceiling height, compliment the original features and work with the existing Aga.
We went for soft calm shades of green with a slightly bolder island colour to make this a feature. The white quartz acts as a neutral palate to bring everything together.
The open shelving and plate rack gives the family plenty of space to add their personal touch.
