Callerton kitchen, elegantly finished in Park Green and Old English White

REDEFINING THE ESSENCE OF MODERN LIVING SPACES

In a recent project, we collaborated with Leeds architect, Abi Tice. We were tasked with revitalising a property constrained by a narrow galley kitchen and a cramped dining/snug area. The vision was clear: to create a seamless, expansive space that catered to the sophisticated needs of our client.

Kitchen Functionality

The cornerstone of this project was the installation of a Callerton kitchen, elegantly finished in Park Green and Old English White. This choice not only elevated the aesthetic appeal of the space but also ensured durability and timeless elegance. Central to the kitchen’s functionality was the cutting-edge Siemens induction hob, complemented by a Falmec extractor, setting a new standard for culinary excellence. The inclusion of a Quooker tap and a generously sized pull-out larder enhanced the kitchen’s efficiency and convenience, making it a joy to use.

An Island of Social Interaction

The kitchen island became the focal point of the room, encouraging social interaction and culinary creativity. Additionally, a corner cabinet with a carousel and a hidden utility room accessible through discreet kitchen doors exemplified the project’s attention to detail and innovative use of space.

Within the ‘hidden’ utility, we introduced German furniture in a soft cashmere hue, designed to blend seamlessly with the kitchen’s colour palette. A bespoke cabinet was crafted to conceal the boiler, maintaining the sleek, uncluttered lines of the design.

Overcoming Challenges Through Collaborate Design

Initially, the project faced a significant hurdle when the original planning application was rejected. However, through strategic modifications and a redesign by Abi Tice, we navigated these challenges with agility, ensuring the project got back on track quickly.

The extension of the house was a game-changer, facilitating the creation of a dedicated utility room. This expansion not only significantly increased the kitchen’s size and functionality but also liberated the dining area and snug, allowing each space to breathe and serve its purpose fully.

This project stands as a testament to the power of collaborative expertise, transforming a once-constrained space into the perfect functional space for our clients modern living requirements.
